Join Us

Everyone is welcome to join Moggill Historical Society. You can become involved in various ways, researching local history, helping with ongoing research projects or just coming along to meetings.

The benefits of membership include:

  • Access to lecture meetings, field trips and other activities,
  • Regular receipt of a newsletters, information from other historical groups etc,
  • Access to research material curated by the Society,
  • Fellowship with other local people interested in the history of the area,
  • Involvement in recording, and preserving our local history for future generations.

In recent years, we have visited the Queensland Mounted Police Unit, Ipswich Hospital Museum, Victoria Barracks and the Queensland Government Land Registry. Members have helped in researching for our publications (view Shop) and we look after Moggill Historic Cemetery, cleaning and maintaining the monuments, compiling a register of burials and investigating grave sites which have become unmarked through loss of headstones etc.
