What we do
About
We research, write, present, maintain and organise historical interest.
When: Sunday 18th June 2023 Location: Upper car park, (nearest to the junction of Sugars & Hawksbury Rds), Anstead Time: 10am – 12pm (approx)
Check our Facebook page for further details and updates especially in the event of inclement weather.
Sugars Quarry Walk
Join us for a walk to Sugars Quarry. Starting from the upper car park, we’ll trek for only 20 minutes until we reach the quarry. While there, professional historian Judith Nissen will provide a fascinating breakdown of Sugars Quarry’s history and remaining industrial heritage.
With sloping terrain and uneven ground, the trek caters to all with average fitness, plus we’ve arranged disability and wheelchair access to the lookout, ensuring everyone can join!
Enclosed walking shoes are a must, and if the weather’s favorable, consider sunscreen and insect repellent.
Bottles of water will be provided, and the entire event will take two hours, with no need for RSVP – everyone is invited!
